With summer approaching, my wife and I decided to build a gazebo for our garden. Searching the internet, we came across a new local company named CANADECK based in Langley BC specializing in various wooden structures like decks, gates, fences, gazebos and others (see www.canadeck.ca). The owner, a friendly, energetic and charming young man named Jonathan, showed up on time, gave us a fair estimate with a precise timetable. Something about his personality left us feeling he an honest and trustworthy professional. We gave him the job and are so happy with the results, way more than we’d bargained for. We now have an impressive Cedar wood gazebo in our backyard, built and completed on time as promised.

Hired CanaDeck to renew my old deck and build a carport gazebo in the back of the house. Johnathan suggested we go with a composite deck and I couldn't be happier with the result. Looks stunning and feels like it will last forever. Carport also turned out fabulous and was meticulously constructed from reclaimed lumber. Once again thank you Johnathan and the crew for a job well done. Great service and attention to detail! Highly recommended

Johnathan showed up on time, stayed for about an hour while we discussed what would be the way to build the deck, and then took precise measurements. the next day provided me with a writen estimate and the completed the job faster then originally planed with in the budget and was just great through out the entire way! highly recommended !

While getting rid of a wasp nest below my deck, I removed a fascia board installed during a remodel by a different company a few years ago. The fascia board was hiding a completely rotten beam supporting the whole exterior corner of the deck, due to a drainage problem caused by the construction methods used by the previous contractors. The corner of the deck was very close to collapsing. I contacted CanaDeck, and Jonathan came out to take a look. He recognized the various issues right away, as well as the sources of the problems, and recommended a number of different ways to repair everything. Due to the severity of the rot and the likelihood of the deck collapsing, he went out of his way to adjust his schedule to be able to repair it as soon as possible. The estimates were thorough and accurate, and the final quote was quite reasonable. From start to finish, everything went much smoother than I'd expected. The estimates were detailed, they brought everything needed for the repairs when they arrived, and they worked quickly and efficiently. The work included replacing the two exterior posts below the rotten beam, the rotten beam itself, and other wood affected by the bad drainage: some fascia boards, rim boards, a railing post up above (which also included dismantling and later reinstalling the whole railing), and better drainage to a downspout was added. From initial consultation to my deck no longer being on the verge of collapse, it took less than a week, including a long weekend, with all of the labour being done on a single day. They cleaned up the area after leaving, and disposed of the old/rotten wood. My thanks to the CanaDeck team! I won't hesitate to contact them again for other (hopefully less urgent) projects.
